I think this book is fantastic. I have been an SAT/ACT tutor for 20 years. The New SAT has Reading passages that are absolutely as challenging as those found in this book. In fact, the questions in the actual SAT can sometimes be more challenging than those in this book. I use this book with all of my students who are high-scoring (600+) on the verbal and are looking for 700+. They need a lot of practice with the most challenging passages on the New SAT, and this book provides that in abundance, along with well-designed questions that accurately mimic the actual test questions. I am very grateful that this book exists and recommend it heartily to all students who want to achieve a top score on the Reading section.

The best word to describe this book is 'thorough.' The book covers literature from earlier than the SAT usually tests to passages released less than a year ago. The book covers every type of passage: from pieces of internal reflection to stories of two interacting characters. The questions are thought-provoking and detail-oriented, preparing any student with the diligence needed to easily ace the SAT literature passage. The book is guaranteed to improve your literature reading ability for both the SAT and upper education in general.

When preparing for the SAT, the student will often become overwhelmed with the massive amount of information to review. This book breaks the information down to easy reading and allows for the student to find stopping points for breaks. It is informative and helpful. We are hoping it will help with the SAT scheduled for my daughter in June.

I like this series of books. The passages are sufficiently rigorous and the questions are comparable to the real test. The answer explanations are online, which is an extra step, but it keeps the book slim and easily portable, so I don't have a problem with that. I use this book with SAT students as well as with any of my struggling high school readers.

I was initially quite worried about the selection of this book because many SAT books made from organizations other than College Board usually fail to pursue the format of the text. But this book exactly corresponds the format, style and type of questions and texts that are encountered in the actual exam. Really glad to prepare for the new SAT with this book and I recommend this to everyone who is really concerned with the accomplishing of the highest score.

After searching through various forums about the materials, I decided to purchase this book. The practice tests follows the format of that of the released tests. What I like best is the explanations, which follow the College Board's thought process! I purchased the verbal and the history ones too! 3 weeks till my last exam! Let's rock reading!
